almost like it is a (3D offset for the global width, and not solid fill) Looking closely at the printout it looks like they are actually printing but with the dots and dashes crammed so close together as to make the line solid. I copied some lines with global widths into another drawing and the line is displayed and printed with an outline around the global width of the line in the new drawing. Nothing!The properties for my linetype show me that the line is a dotted (hidden) line, but the line itself doesn't show as hidden. AutoCAD will always try to minimize the amount of graphics processing that it does. My drawing is set up with a colour based print style table and I have edited the print style to get the line weights I want and this has worked but I cannot get the dashed and centre lines to print to the scales I want. If you need a different scale for a single line, you can change its linetype scale using the Tools > Properties window (Ctrl + 1) and change the linetype scale there. it seems to me like a line display setting. it's more like a ghostly representation of a line. I need to have hidden lines on a 3D object dashed. ACAD LT 2009, Win XP Lately a feature I am used to seeing has quit.Basically when you hover over a point of a line, a little cross mark appears and you can drag out a dashed line from that point which can be snapped to another object.
